The robots made all kind of job for the humans, and they don't even have to move. As a consequence, they are getting fat.

Humans are all day talking on their monitor with another human and not face to face, and they don't even look what is arround them
What is the name of the company that appears in commercials throughout the movie?
It is called "Buy-n-Large"
Why does it name appear in the President's poclium?
Because the big economic power of that company is taking over the political power of the President. It is like the Presidents has been bought by the company.
Who do broken robots symbolize? Hint: they are not able to follow the line or given instructions
They represent rebels that want to change the system
Why does the computer try to avoid the humans' return to Earth?
Because if humans return to Earth, the company that made those robots, Buy-n-Large, will stop earning that amount of money. This represent that the big companies and in general humanity only cares about cash.

URBAN PLAN OF SALAMANCA

Salamanca is located on the Northern Plateau on the Iberian Peninsula. It has a plain relief and it is by the river Tormes, a tributary of the Duero. The climate has mild temperatures and quite abundant precipitations.

The shapes of the streets of Salamanca change if they are on the historic centre or on the suburbs. In the historic centre, the buildings are the traditional stone-brick-made, an the streets are radiocentric, and they converge in the Main Square of Salamanca, such as the Rúa Mayor or the Street of Zamora. One of the problems may be the services. It is necessary to walk away from the historic centre to get to work or to do the shopping. A possible solution could be reduce the redisential areas and put other locals instead. This problem is relationated with parking. There are almost no places for the car to park. A possible solution may be the construction of parkings in the origin of the streets, or underground ones. In the historic centre, we can see some neo-classic houses, made by the bourgeoisie during the XX century. These class weren't able to build in the outskirts of the city, so they decided to replace the short and medieval houses for taller and more modern ones.

The urban enlargement of the city were built in the first half of the XX century by the people who moved from the rural areas to the city to find job and opportunities. This extensions are attributed to working class population that arrived into the city in the 1950s due to a rural exodus. These neighborhoods have a more regular plan, such as La Avenida de Portugal, La Avenida de Italia or La Calle de Ledesma.

The periphery/outskirts
Lately, Another type of extensions has to do with nearby villages that have become part of the city as a consequence of a population increase in them. In the XX century as well, the people from the rural areas bought cheaper houses in this villages than city ones, so the population increase in this semi detached residential areas.

With regard to the industrial areas, we can outline el Polígono Montalvo and the Polígono de los Villares. The main activities both develop are winery, cheese-making and oil-making. Other secundary activities could be plumbing and iron and steel industry.

ANALYSIS OF A RURAL LANDSCAPE (PICTURE2)

A rural landscape is a geographic area that combines biotic, abiotic and antropotic elements (where livestock is really common). The image shows an inland landscape with an Interior Mediterranean Climate. This climate presents very hot summers and very cold winters and a semi-lack of precipitations. Although it is not in the picture, we can find in this type of climate steppe, pines, birchs, firs, Holm Oaks...

The picture shows a relief that is characterized by its flatness. It is a plateau, situated in an openfield. The vegetation in this area is grassland. Although it is not in the picture, we can find in this type of climate steppe, pines, birchs, firs, Holm Oaks... This village hasn't got any water in form of lakes or rivers.

With regard to the land uses and activities we can say that the predominant use of the land is agriculture and livestock raising. According to the arable land, we can say that these are sharecropping lands, spread in open field and medium-sized (more than 10 hectares). The predominant use of the land is dry farming agriculture, exploded in an extensive farming and probably has a monocultured-crop variety. The technology used is surely modern-mechanized. With regard to the houses, they are made of adobe bricks and displayed in a nucleated pattern. A secondary use of the land could be residential, as we observe some semi-detached houses and apartment buildings. Finally, according to roads, they are dispersed radialy, and seem to conclude in the center of the town.

As a conclusion, villages usually have problems with services. For this town, we can suppose that this rural area may have problems in services as well, as we can see a big number of houses. If we observe this town on a map, we colud see that it is really close to the city of Salamanca. Withing the last years, this type of towns have become the suburbian residence for young couples looking for and affordable housing. As a consequence, its population increases more and more, and services are even more indispensable. Among other measures that can be applied to deal with this problem, we can propose the construction of buildings for bakeries, chemistries, petrol stations, etc.
